The Wakefield Railway Modellers’ Society was founded in March 1958 to cater for those modellers interested in small scale model railways in the Wakefield area. The Society has since prospered and now owns its own spacious 2 storey premises near the city centre and organises a yearly exhibition. Members have a wide range of interests in all aspects of railway modelling and the prototype railway scene.
